How it Works
Phase 1 – PreCleanse Phase
In the Pre-Cleanse Phase, you will receive a cleanse kit along with an orientation and daily schedule for Phase 2 of the program. There is also a comprehensive initial health consultation. In the initial health consultation we will discuss symptoms, define goals and identify possible food triggers which we will test later. Kim will use this information to create a customized daily symptom tracker that will later be used to determine food sensitivities.
After gathering information about your symptoms and goals, Kim will make PreCleanse recommendations tailored to each person to make the transition in Phase 2 easier. Generally, these customized recommendations are very simple and might be as easy as including a superfood product or supplement to be taken prior to beginning Phase 2.
However, there are some pre-cleanse requirements everyone should adhere to including no artificial sweeteners for 1 month prior to Phase 2’s kick-off, and no caffeine for 7 days prior to Phase 2. Withdrawal from both of these concurrent with starting a cleanse program is neither pleasant nor safe. In addition, caffeine withdrawal during the program interferes with the ability to test the impact foods are having on your body because it is overshadowed by low energy and headaches from caffeine withdrawal. Caffeine can be reintegrated in Phase 3. Many find surprising benefits such as weight loss and increased energy from removing diet sodas.
Phase 2 – Cleanse and Elimination Phase
Phase 2 kicks-off the 7 day cleanse and food trigger elimination program. During this phase, we will work very closely together to modulate the cleanse to your body’s responses over the first few days and to ensure you will have all the tools you need throughout Phase 3 and beyond to be successful. Depending on which version of the program you choose, we will meet between 2 to 4 times and will cover some of the following:
-
•The Acidity/Alkalinity principle – the most important concept you can apply to look and
feel better
-
•Food combining principles
-
•How to prepare a healthy meal in 10 minutes or less
-
•Daily meditation for stress reduction
-
•How to test for food sensitivities
-
•How to order while eating out
-
•What to do while traveling
-
•How to stop listening to other experts and access your inner expert
-
•How to determine your unique carbohydrate threshold
-
•How to determine which protein sources your body prefers
-
•How to care for yourself through food on an ongoing basis
-
•Which supplements are recommended for you
-
•How to fill out your tracker to determine food triggers and optimize your health.
Depending on which version you choose, you will either be delivered 32 ounces of fresh vegetable juice each day along with a cleanse compliant veggie stir fry and citrus free hummus or you can pick these up each day on your own.
Phase 3 – Reintroduction and Symptom Resolution
Phase 3 is the reintroduction Phase in which you will methodically introduce a new food every 3 days to test for food triggers which have been causing unwanted symptoms. You will use the customized reintroduction schedule that was created in Phase 2 for your reintroduction roadmap. This schedule is created for each person based on many variables but designed to keep you moving through this process as quickly as possible.
In Phase 3, you are also able to access your own inner expert as you use tools from phase 2 to tune into your unique carbohydrate threshold and best protein sources. Phase 3 is where the primary benefits of the program are realized. If Phase 3 is followed as designed, one can typically expect increased energy, weight loss, better sleep, improved digestion, diminished allergies, better mood and much more.
In order to see the best benefits, a commitment to your health is required. This commitment is simple once you have gained the information and experienced the priceless benefits in your daily life. In Phase 3, you will fill out your customized daily tracker. Kim will check this tracker and respond with comments, suggestions and support via email. Depending on the version of the program you choose, phone support is also available.
